COLLIE TURFLEX
Born Munyaradzi Mpofu in August 1998 , Collie Turflex is a gospel reggae dancehall artist, songwriter and preacher based in Zimbabwe. He is the Co founder of Jesus Youth Movement ZW and ROA foundation an initiative that supports elderly women living in poverty in rural Zimbabwe. Collie attended high school at Forward In Faith College and that's when he discovered his passion for music and joined a Hip Hop group named CMG in which he was the only dancehall artist. In 2013, Collie Turflex joined a dancehall stable called Afghanistan Crew after his live performance stamina and Jamaican patois lyric delivery drew attention of Military SK the stable leader in Belvedere at an event where they were both booked. Under Afghanistan Crew , Collie Turflex released songs such as Best girl, Hustler for life which was sponsored by African Tribe, a record label in South Africa and many other songs. However in 2018, Collie Turflex became born again and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal saviour and that's when he quited secular music to embark on a gospel reggae journey, getting assistance and inspiration from regional gospel reggae artists such as J Savior from Kenya, Sir Creedy from Malawi just to mention a few. Currently Collie Turflex is one of the gospel dancehall artists representing Zimbabwe in the regional gospel reggae dancehall circles as he is often featured on international international reggae riddim projects. Collie Turflex is an active church member of Christ Embassy Church
